Worker Rights in the Global Economy: A lecture by Charles Kernaghan

A long-time forerunner of the anti-sweatshop movement, renowned public activist and intellectual Charles Kernaghan will be speaking at the Pump House on the Waterfront next Saturday afternoon at 1:30. Sponsored by the Battle of Homestead Foundation as well as the United Steelworkers, the lecture will be part of the Fourth Annual USW Bernie Kleiman Lecture Series. As the executive director of the National Labor Committee in Support of Human and Worker Rights, Mr. Kernaghan has long been regarded as a pioneer in exposing the fault lines of a modern system built upon foundations of mass exploitation through sweatshop labor.
